Filmed in the streets of El Vedado, Havana-Cuba, Pisadas y Manzanillas (Footsteps and Chamomile) is an intimate embodiment of a young woman's relationship to place. A corner conversation and an afternoon walk bring about feelings of weightlessness, deep connection, and desire with intensifying familiarity.

Call 911 Again was created in response to Teresita Fernandez’ Fire (America), a 16-foot glazed ceramic wall panel depicting a nocturnal landscape engulfed in flames in PAMM’s Permanent Collection. The performance was part of PAMM’s Dance in the Galleries.

The Cucalorus Residency program supports the development of new work in film, dance, and theater. I had the opportunity to share creative spaces with six amazing women and dancemakers in Jengo’s Creative Campus in downtown Wilmington, North Carolina.

I participated in workshops leading to performances led by Alexey Taran and Kiki Mutis in two cites: La Habana and Miami. My dance film Heron was also part of the festival’s film program presented in La Casa de la Cultura (Trinidad), La Fabrica de Arte (Havana) and Miami-Dade County Auditorium.
